Mercedes of Perth in January 1999, this 320SL has had six owners and has covered
141,754 miles to date.
The service book has seven
stamps, the last at 140,264 miles in April 2024 plus supporting invoices (see
photos).
There are also many invoices
for additional maintenance and new parts fitted from 2008 onwards when the book
wasn’t stamped.
In May 2024 it was sent to
Fostering Classics of Stratford-on-Avon for a major going over and cosmetic
refreshment which cost £4,841. This included a rear suspension overhaul with new
shock absorbers, suspension arms and bushes; oil service; air con re-gassed plus
much else besides.
In Jan/Feb 2025 it had new
front wheel bearings and an oil service plus a new fuel pump in May
2025.
It has an MOT until September
2025 with just advisory for a worn o/s/r tyre but both rear tyres have been
renewed since then.
All the original
handbooks are present, along with a first aid kit and tool kit in the boot.
There are two keys plus the emergency ‘credit card’ key.
Finished in
Brilliant Silver Metallic with a Grey Nappa leather interior, 3.2 V6 engine and
5-speed auto 'box, it has various options including: smoked glass Panoramic
roof; black fabric soft top; Xenon headlights with wash/wipe; heated
electric front seats with memory function; rear seats with seat belts;
electrically adjustable steering column; burred walnut root trim; Alpine CD
changer in the boot and cassette store in centre console with the original MB
radio.
As you can see in the photos, it looks
exceptionally clean and tidy for its year/mileage. Driven 70 miles to the sale,
it has been starting promptly and driving nicely as we have moved it around on
site.

PS: We have just removed the hard top and tested the hood which is
in very good condition and the hydraulics/electrics work correctly. The air con
also blows nice and cold.
