Restoration project with
all the hard and messy work completed; body was fully welded up with all rust
removed and full repaint costing over £10,000; dry stored for over ten
years; (rather like a big LEGO kit); great winter
project
First registered in October
1986 with six registered keepers in total, the last
MOT expiring in 29 October 2009.
The vendor has
informed us the car was dismantled, and the body was fully welded up with all
rust removed and a full repaint costing over £10,000.
Unfortunately,
before the car could be put back together the owner at the time passed away, so
the car stayed in dry storage for over ten years, until it was
discovered and brought to auction.
From what we have been told
the car was running and driving until 2009 when the restoration started.
Most parts look to be present although in many boxes, as illustrated
here.
This is a fantastic
opportunity to enter the world of classic restoration with all the hard and
messy work completed (rather like a big LEGO kit).
Although all the
history looks to have been lost, this is a perfect project for a father son
project.
