Highly
original condition; new tyres on sprint alloys; showing only 57,854
miles
The
1979 Triumph Dolomite 1300 was a compact British saloon that blended classic
styling with practical engineering. Powered by a 1,296cc four-cylinder engine,
it offered modest performance with smooth rear-wheel-drive
handling.
Unlike its sportier Dolomite siblings, the 1300 featured single
headlights and a simpler trim, making it an affordable entry into Triumph
ownership. Its interior was well-appointed for the era, with wood veneer and
comfortable seating.
Built during the final years of British Leyland, the
Dolomite 1300 remains a nostalgic symbol of late-1970s motoring. Today,
surviving examples are cherished for their charm, simplicity, and connection to
a bygone automotive era.
Having
spent its life stored in the garage when not in use this Dolomite seen here in
its original Honeysuckle colour has avoided the normal demise and aging of these
British classics. First registered in September 1979 and showing as five former
keepers and only
57,854 miles.
The last MOT certificate was advisory free and ran out in
2019, the vehicle has now covered only 257 miles since.
The
vendor has recently undertaken some refurbishment works that include four new
tyres mounted on sprint alloy wheels, a new battery with a three-year warranty,
new front callipers and the engine has been serviced with new spark plugs, leads
and distributor cap. The
vehicles original wheels and tyres are included in the sale
and arrangements for collection from the vendor can be made should the new
owner require them.
Highly
original with a beautiful interior, a true step back in time to 70s motoring
experience.
