Offered for auction is a highly original 1979 Mercedes-Benz 350 SL,
showing just 55,700 miles from new, with supporting documentation to warrant the
mileage. This beautiful R107 model has had only six previous keepers and
remained in the same ownership for the past 21 years. The car was purchased in
2004 and used sparingly until 2009, when it was parked in a garage following the
passing of the owner’s wife. Since then, it has remained in dry storage and is
now being offered for sale after a careful
recommissioning.
Recently, the car has been brought back to life with a new fuel pump,
fuel filter, associated fuel lines, and a brand-new battery. It has also
undergone a full service including new spark plugs, oil, and filter. The 350 SL
comes complete with both the factory hardtop and soft-top, adding to its
