2005 BMW X5
3.0d Sport Auto (Facelift); Sterling Grey Metallic; costing £44,950 new; just
under £10,000 worth of factory extras; 11 months MOT; 12 service
stamps
This 2005 BMW X5 3.0d Sport Auto
facelift model is finished in Sterling Grey Metallic with Black Dakota leather
interior. Powered by a 2993cc diesel engine and equipped with an automatic
transmission, it represents one of BMW’s most desirable configurations of the
era. The vehicle has had eight former keepers and comes with an MOT valid until
October 2026 and 12 service stamps in the book, last done in June of this year
at 163,483 miles.
Originally costing £44,950 when
new, this example was ordered with optional equipment totalling £9,885, giving
it an excellent specification. Features include an electric memory driver’s
seat, sports seats with heating, panoramic glass roof, sports suspension, and a
multi-function sports steering wheel. The car is fitted with an aftermarket
navigation unit replacing the original BMW system, and while the on-board TV and
teletext functions have been removed, the Bluetooth telephone preparation
remains in place. The BMW six-disc CD autochanger is still present but not
currently working. Additional highlights include an anthracite headlining,
aluminium running boards, retractable load floor, colour-coded door handles,
floor mats, universal remote control, and a detachable
towbar.
The X5 has been driven over 150 miles to
the site, starting and driving well during photography and video sessions. It is
accompanied by a well-documented history, showing twelve service stamps in the
service book along with invoices detailing work carried out over the
years.
A well-specified and useable example of
BMW’s popular X5 Sport, offering excellent performance, comfort, and
practicality.
