Only one
owner in 21 years; only 51,819 miles; driven 50 miles to the sale; in need of
recommissioning.
Developed in the twilight
years of MG Rover, the ZT 260 was unlike any other ZT – rear-wheel drive, powered by a 4.6-litre Ford Mustang V8 and producing 260bhp with a soundtrack to
match. This SE model added luxury touches including leather trim and climate
control, blending refinement with raw performance.
With only around 883
saloons built, survivors are scarce and increasingly collectible. Quad exhausts,
uprated suspension and muscular stance mark it out as a true British muscle
saloon, combining everyday practicality with enthusiast
appeal.
This example with metallic Black Pearl
paintwork was first registered in September 2004 and is showing as no former
keepers and only covered 51,819 miles.
A print
off from the Government MOT database shows that the last MOT certificate
(advisory free at 50,973 miles) expired in October 2022, with an additional 14
tests held online, all helping to confirm the low mileage.
The service history is shown on 14 invoices covering the time
from 2011 to 2021; however, we don’t have the original book
pack.
From a deceased estate and now following a
period of non-use, it will require recommissioning. It’s been starting and
driving on site for the photographs and video, however the brake pedal is very
low, a brake circuit warning is displayed on the dashboard, and the offside
front coil spring has broken.
A rare opportunity
to acquire one of MG Rover’s rear wheel drive V8 machines!
Driven 50 miles to the sale.
