Super-clean Japanese import; only 48,200 miles with 10 services
to date; 304bhp turbo petrol engine; packed full of gadgets; the thinking
man's Land Rover!
Launched in
2008, the XC60 was Volvo’s first-generation compact SUV and was so well received
that it has been their best-selling model ever since, combining cool Swedish
style with a surprisingly muscular powertrain. While most were sold with diesel
engines, the T6 petrol variant packed a 3.0 turbo straight-six producing 304bhp
and 440Nm for keen drivers who put smooth, effortless performance ahead of
ultimate fuel economy.
Mounted transversely and
mated to six-speed Geartronic automatic transmission, the engine sent power to
all four wheels via an intelligent Haldex all-wheel-drive system, redirecting
torque to the wheels with the most grip in milliseconds. It could sprint to
60mph in 6.9 seconds on its way to an electronically limited top speed of 130mph
with 27mpg economy.
Built in 2014, this
particular T6 spent its first 11 years on the salt-free roads of Japan, hence
the good state of preservation today. Imported to the UK in September 2025, it
has had just one registered keeper since and has covered only 48,194 miles
with 10 services to date, as warranted by the Japanese service history and
the mileage guarantee at the time of export. The last service was
in England in November last year at 44,935 miles and included making
the sound system UK compatible (see photos).
Being an SE Lux model, it has leather seats, Nordic Light Oak trim
and chronographic instrument dials. Other features include: paddle shift gears;
adaptive cruise control; climate control; side and rear cameras; lane departure
warning; side proximity warning, brake assist; electrically adjustable heated
front seats with memory function; Sensus Connect infotainment system with a
7-inch colour screen and Bluetooth connectivity; auto-dimming rearview mirror
with integrated compass; 18” alloy wheels; Active Bending Xenon headlights which
swivel with the steering wheel plus silver roof rails. We particularly like the
'floating' centre console which is best shown in photo 27 - how cool is
that?
Supplied with an MOT until August 2026 with
no advisories recorded, it also comes with all its original handbooks but as
these are all in Japanese, you may want to find some English ones on eBay.
Unless, of course, you fancy the challenge of learning the lingo – how hard can
it be?
As you can see in the
photos and the video, this low-mileage Volvo is in exceptionally good shape for
its year and has been starting instantly and pulling strongly as we have hoofed
it around on site.
