First registered
in March 1971, this little rocket started out in life as a standard Austin Mini
1000 painted in Beige. However, its life got a lot more interesting when it was
acquired by our vendor in August 2017.
A retired
Mini specialist, he has spent a great deal of time, money and effort turning it
into the bright yellow track day and hill climb weapon you see today. The
spec includes:
Race 1,390cc engine with Mini
Spares steel crank, Cooper S rods, early 11-stud Longman big valve
head
Race gearbox

We are told
that the car produces 122bhp at the wheels and has only been used on two
competitive events since it was built, both at the Shelsley Walsh hill climb.
The V5C records it as a Mini 1000 with Historic Vehicle status (see last
photo). There are also nine old MOTs from 1988 - 1988, various historic invoices
plus an original Mini handbook.
Fully road legal,
it has been starting promptly and running well as we have driven it around on
site.
Fast, loud and very yellow, it is on offer here at substantially
less than it would cost to build so if you've ever fancied a cheap entry
into motorsport, now's your chance...
