1950s Ladies
Trent Sports bicycle fitted with a Power Pak 49cc single-cylinder two-stroke
rear wheel engine, a charming example of British cyclemotor engineering from a
bygone era.
The engine is mounted above the
rear wheel and drives through a friction roller system pressing directly against
the rear tyre. The fuel tank is integrated into the engine unit, creating a
compact and practical design typical of the period.
With a typical top speed of around 20–25 mph, the Power Pak provided
simple and economical motorised transport, renowned for its impressive fuel
efficiency and ease of use.
An increasingly rare
collector's piece, this delightful machine combines vintage bicycle elegance
with practical engineering. Ideal for classic motorcycle enthusiasts, vintage
transport collectors, or as a unique display item, it offers plenty of original
period character and nostalgic appeal.
